I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.
Education background
In xx, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.
At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of excellent Graduation Thesis.
Research eXPerience and academic activity
When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheddwgng system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.
In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and eXPerience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheddwgng Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

I am a student at * school * class. University four years of life is coming to an end, a new beginning is coming, waiting for me is a new challenge.
The university four years is my thought, the knowledge structure and the psychology, the growth mature four years. In college, I carefully study their own professional skills, so I have a strong professional knowledge, and knowledge of the theory into practice, the final grades ranked the highest grade, scholarships for outstanding students two, three and two times, won the title of three good student. My major is computer. I have a unique experience in mastering the use of various basic software and hardware maintenance process. Smoothly through the state, social and labor security department, high-tech office software application module qualification, senior operator exam. At the same time, I carry forward the spirit of teamwork, help other students, to introduce their good learning experience to other students, common development and common progress.
Personal hobbies lead, into the school I attended the school of painting and Calligraphy Association, by the director general to the vice president, it is hard for me to pay and affirmation. Organized a series of activities to enrich campus life, and was selected as an excellent student association. Kuajiao organized recreational activities, to achieve the desired purpose, the approval by the teachers and students, who was named the outstanding leader of the scene painting contest. Jingruchuzi, as 181cm, height and superior skills, so I stepped on the course, become the basketball team main small forward, even with his teammates, the taste of victory. It is one of the important sentiment of well-educated and trained in military exercises, my college life. In addition, in serving as class secretary and counselor assistant during the active and good service for students, outstanding performance, contribute to Zhuo Yuerong, won the outstanding student leaders.
Last year, I joined the Communist Party of China with honors and performance. Joining this advanced group is a distillation of my life. In the "first education", I am more strict with myself, leading students around me, together with progress. Has won the advanced individual title of spiritual civilization. After participating in the voluntary blood donation, let me know how to cherish life and love life. During the vacation, I took part in social practice in computer company based on professional specialty, which played an important role in my experience accumulation. Passed the motor vehicle driver's license (type C). I am full of confidence in the coming society.

The reason why I want to go Singapore is I like to learn some different culture and I can meet a lot people from all around the world, that way I can make more friends. I like the weather in Singapore also. I will go back to china, the reason is very simple, because I am a Chinese I will never forgot my country. Be honestly, I will pick Tsinghua University, because to go to Tsinghua University is one of the biggest dreams in my life and Tsinghua University is the best University in my country.
If I like literature, I probably will like comedies more, beacuse I am an optimism and I want to make reader happy when they ready my essay. I want to be success in every single class in the university, when I graduate me want to be a business administration.
I like to read the novel in my spare time.
My goal is to graduate as soon as possible, and find a good job, a husband and make allot money. I do have idol in my mind, she is my mother, she is very great woman and she will do every thing for me.
I think high school entrance examination is very easy, but I know I still have allot think should learn.

I am greatly grateful that you can spare some time to read my letter. I am a Chinese undergraduate from Jiangsu University. My name isXXX, coming from xxx of Jiangsu Province. I will graduate in July 2012. After that, I want to continue my education by pursuing a master degree in UK.
Since I became an accounting major, it has been my dream to be professional at finance and accounting. I always appreciate the free academic environment. In addition, I am looking forward to studying freely and having access to the exotic culture. In order to pursuing the aim, I have made great efforts to get high marks in some of my compulsory curriculum, such as Science of Auditing,Financial Management and International Trade. Although the results of some other courses are not that good, I promise that it will definitely not influence my pursuit and the interest of accounting, finance and economics.
Constant learning makes me interested in accounting increasingly; meanwhile, having had some lessons related to ACCA arouses the greater interest, which has consolidated my desire to pursue further education in the UK. Mathematics, English and professional courses about accounting or finance were my favorite subjects in the college. I have established the strong academic foundation through my intense college studies, internship and prolonged personal interest. As an accounting major, I have always dreamed of involving in the field of finance, economics and accounting to improve the academic level and working capacity. While your university has enjoyed considerable reputation in this filed, it will be greatly appreciated if you can give me a chance to do graduate study.
During the college years, the post of being a monitor benefits me a lot. Organizing the class to complete some subjects or thesis makes me realize the importance of cooperation, which, I believe, will directs me achieve greater progress in the future life. For instance, our team once won the prize of the excellent accounting dissertation at social practice in summer vocation in my university, which can demonstrate my professional skills to some extent.
I am a person of great sense of responsibility. When I was a sophomore, I set up xxx Volunteers Association with three classmates, the aim of which is to induct the high school students and college students to establish accurate learning view, value view and outlook of life.
